Before 1987 all the Exports of rice were being handled by a semi Govt. Organization under the name & style of “RICE EXPORT CORPORATION OF PAKISTAN”. R.E.C.P. had monopoly to purchase rice from all the four Provinces of Pakistan and then mix the same, variety wise and sold in bulk quantities, on a/c of which Basmati Rice produced in Sheikhupura district with heavenly gifted taste, aroma & flavor had lost its identity.

In 1987 Government allowed private enterprises to Export Rice and thus Pakistani Rice Exporters entered in to the International Market regulating the Exports of Rice from Pakistan.

Khan Rice Mills are exporting rice to Major consumer Markets such as Kenya, Djibouti, Somalia, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Canada, England, Oman, Muscat, Europe, Mauritius, Bangladesh, Qatar, U.K. and Exploring the market more and more. KRM has experienced Board of Directors under supervision of Mr. Shamshad Ali Khan.

Khan Rice Mills has its own lands spread over in the area 70 to 80 acre. KRM has its own Sheller, processing unit one in Punjab and other in Karachi with capacity 5 ton per hour KRM is fully equipped with latest technology having two color sorter machines.
KRM also opened his branch office in Karachi 1994 to handle export more efficiently and other office in Kenya in 2000 to cover all Africa regions.

In 1991 K.R.M. entered in the Rice Export business with solid determination to Export rice of each and every variety exactly, according to the specification and requirement of their valued Customers.
